Shoes and bags and bags and shoes, and they’re on sale! What more could a girl ask for???
Loeffler Randall shoes always have just the right amount of uniqueness and wearability to get people asking “where are your shoes from?” And if you don’t own a Rebecca Minkoff bag by now this is your chance to amp up your everyday street style on the cheap. I went to the sale last year and left with some pretty great stuff. There were even dresses, pants, and shoes still selling for regular price in retail stores.
Check the fliers below for info, and I’m heading out now!
Here’s the first item on sale today for Loeffler Randall’s 12 Days of Christmas. LR Slip-on Rain Boot. Originally $150, Now $75!
UPDATE: Many items already sold out on neimanmarcus.com, but all items still available on target.com. Some crazy people are already posting items with ridiculous mark ups on eBay. Don’t be fooled, as of now I don’t think most items will be selling out.
Eccentric Commes de Garcon designer, Rei Kawakubo, is set to design two series of silk scarves for the famed French fashion house, Hermes. The first release will consist of black and white designs called Noir et Blanc, and the Couleur collection will obviously be more vibrant and patterned.
I usually love when classic meets crazy, so I’m really excited to see the designs come February 2013.
Get your Fuel Points up son! You may or may not have heard this in the last year or so. Nike dropped a great motivating tool to help you shed those extra lbs early spring ’12. The purpose of the Nike+ FuelBand is to calculate “Fuel” based upon daily activities. Activities aren’t limited to running, jogging, calisthenics, aerobics, p90x, insanity, crossfit, etc. Everything adds up to fuel…skating, mall walking, ballin, making it rain at fine gentleman’s establishments, walking to the h2o cooler in the office, etc., it all counts. You set your daily goal, and once your goal is hit, HOORAY! Seeing those points add up to your goal can get motivating, especially at the end of the day. You may find yourself doing 100 jumping jacks at 11:59pm to hit that goal! You can also link it to your iPhone/iPod or android mobile, while keeping up with your FuelBand compadres through your social network. The FuelBand has already released in the 3 colors, however this special little guy is part of the Doernbecher Charity Series, and features a two tone blk/blue band with corresponding blue LEDs. Will this be a sign for more FuelBand collabos to come? Like the shoes, the FuelBand will have proceeds going to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, and will be a limited release found 11/30/12 at the following locations: Nikestore.com, Nike Portland, Nike NYC, and 21 Mercer. Get your points up son!
I have always desired to own one of the late great Alexander McQueen’s knuckle duster clutches, but unfortunately could never bring myself to fork up two to three thousand dollars on such a small bag. Well this year they made it even harder to resist with the introduction of the Snowflake Knucklebox Clutch.
Featuring white Nappa leather exterior and interior & Swarovski crystal skull and snowflake ring details it is the perfect winter accessory. With a $3200 price point I’d have no more cash left to fill it with, but at least I’d still look amazing with only my I.D. and lip gloss inside. If you’re lucky enough to get one or wanna make someone really happy this Christmas the clutch is exclusive to Alexander McQueen flagship stores and alexandermcqueen.com
While on the site I was able to take my eyes off the clutch for a few seconds to notice some other lust worthy items (some with more realistic price points).
Sorry it’s been awhile since my last post, but like many of you I was busy celebrating the Thanksgiving season with family, friends, and of course food. Hope everyone also had a Happy and Hearty Thanksgiving holiday and was able to squeeze in a little (or a lot) of shopping at the same time.
As usual I didn’t take advantage of the major Black Friday sales to start my Christmas gift shopping and instead snagged some stuff for myself. Whoops! Well here are some of the purchases I was super excited about.
I was fortunately able to attend the first ever Phillip Lim sample sale in Los Angeles two weeks ago and left with some amazing deals!
This dress was originally $900, but I got it for $250 at the sale. The bright blue color is such a stand out, and the simple cut makes it a timeless classic. It’s the only one I saw, and it was my size so I couldn’t pass it up.
This silk dress was a true sample and the epitome of why I love sample sales. There was no size or tag on the label and no others like it on the racks. I knew I had to get it when other girls at the sale we eyeing me while trying it on and waiting to see if I put it down. The fit is perfect and only cost $100!
Lastly, I was able to score these pants for $75 a piece!
Each of the pants originally retailed around $475 each, so I definitely got a bargain. All in all I think I majorly scored at the sale. Were any of you able to make it out and get any good deals too? Let me know what you got, and hopefully Phillip has another sample sale next year!
Other recent purchases I made were in the beauty department. I’ve stated repeatedly how much makeup I already own, but as many of you know you really can never have too much!
I was in Las Vegas when I realized to my horror that I had forgotten to pack my Touche Éclat, which is pretty much a daily necessity for me. I immediately headed to the nearest Sephora and discovered this YSL Holiday Set. It’s such a great deal at $65 because it includes a full size Touche Eclat No. 2 and full size Golden Gloss in Golden Peony. Those two items alone are $40 and $30, but then you also get a travel size mascara, almost full sized waterproof black eyeliner, and a makeup bag that could even double as a clutch!
This holiday set is pretty much a no brainer. Touche Eclat No. 2 is YSL’s most universally flattering color, and you can never have too many of them laying around. Of course it’s limited and exclusive to Sephora. Get yours here now!
Lastly, as mentioned in a previous post, I’ve pretty much been obsessed with the Nars X Andy Warhol makeup collaboration.
This eye palette is just so unique because of the color combination and especially because it’s made of Andy’s face! I almost don’t want to use it for fear of messing up the picture. Plus, the quote etched into the mirror, “I never met a person I couldn’t call a beauty” automatically forces you to smile as you apply your eye shadow. Can still be purchased here.
Thanks for tuning in to the longest post I’ve written yet! Hope you all were able to get some good stuff during the sales as well. Let me know what you got!
Ran across these mini charms and was inspired to make a necklace representing the things I simply can’t live without… Music, Love, and of course Water. Thinking of personalizing some for my friends and family as Christmas presents. Hopefully I can find the time and just the right charms to fit each of them.
Who didn’t want a Cambridge satchel when they first started popping up all over blogs and on celebrity shoulders? I think the neon collection was probably the biggest hit; but no, I still didn’t grab any of those despite the low price points. And now I’m so glad I waited.
The UK based masters of digital prints Basso & Brooke have teamed up with the Cambridge Satchel Company to produce 3 limited edition leather satchels. Only 100 units of each bag were made, and all are covered in the duo’s amazing power prints from their A/W 2012 collection. I think the combination of classic structured leather and modern digital imagery is what makes these so perfect.
How amazing are their prints? If you’re lucky enough to get one, be sure to expect a plethora of envious stares and inquiries.
All are available for pre-order now via Basso & Brooke
Scroll down…crazy shoes right? Who would wear such wacky sneakers, I would never buy/wear such things! But what if I told you these shoes were designed by kids and proceeds were going to charity? Now scroll down again…not so bad, eh? Originally started in 2004, the Doernbecher Freestyle was started by Michael Doherty, Nike’s Creative Director of Global Brand Presentations, and designer Marcus Tayui (of Co.Jp, OG Nike SB, and QS/Tier1 fame) to raise funds for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Marcus envisioned using the assistance of patients in the hospital to aide in the design process. 2012 marks the 9th edition of the Freestyle, with over 4 million dollars benefiting the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. A release date has been set for 11/30/12!
